Survival, what some expect from this life as a handful of water-proof matches from God: stale lines of waiting for the round about words that pass between corpse and corpse. In this favor I found myself gazing tunnel-visioned out a window in the wall. Neither wanting to look away, or really wanting to remain as I was. The vision was terminally revolting to the tired nerves it spat upon. A normal scene playing real for moment on moment: I saw its realness pulsing, grained by time and space, voided particles of no substance making an indiscrete wholeness that began to grab for some life shrinking throbbing in my chest. There was no glass in the window, as with the mind that perceived it: no flesh. What some call flesh responds to fractures in the physical continuity, and leaves soul untended by here.

oracle is based on a clear sight of all the present conditions or states of being. with clear sight of that present moment, future moments can be more-or-less disclosed (I can't say deduced, as the sight, and its clarity are not in that way). the I Ching is built upon the recognition of the present condition, and the 'knowledge' (another loaded word) of the flows of condition generally. the future is a 'result' of present (and always changing) conditions. understanding this kind of oracle unfortunately does not necessitate
any sensible behavior. nor, it seems, can many people recognize the 'quality' of the Oracle vs the emptiness of the Fool.

Nothing is more important about the quantum principle than this, that it destroys the concept of the world "sitting out there," with the observer safely separated from it by a 20 centimetre slab of plate glass. Even to observe so minuscule an object as an electron, he must shatter the glass. He must reach in. He must install his chosen measuring equipment. It is up to him whether he shall measure position or momentum ... the measurement changes the state of the electron. The universe will never afterwards be the same. To describe what has happened one has to cross out that old word "observer" and put in its place "participator". In some strange sense the universe is a participatory universe.
